INDICATIVE CONTENT
In this module, you will reflect on your 1-year professional placement. The placement will provide an invaluable opportunity to apply the theory you have learnt at level 4 and 5, to practice, gaining invaluable experience. The placement will be within the health or social care setting and provide opportunity for you to learn and develop the skills required to be a success within your industry. Although it is up to the student to source this placement, support will be provided by the module and course leader, along with support available from our dedicated placement team within the careers, placement, and employability team.¿

The skills gained from this placement are often sought after by employers who are looking for individuals to combine theory and practice before applying to graduate level posts.¿¿

WEB DESCRIPTOR
This module provides a unique opportunity to reflect on and maximise the value of your one-year professional placement within the health or social care context. Building on the theoretical foundations developed during your first two years of study (Levels 4 and 5), you will apply your knowledge in a real-world setting, gaining hands-on experience, developing industry-relevant skills, and enhancing your professional confidence.¿

The placement is designed to immerse you in the daily operations of a health or social care organisation, helping you to develop key skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and adaptability. These are qualities that employers actively seek in graduates who can effectively combine academic learning with practical experience.¿

This experience will not only support your academic development but also give you a competitive advantage when applying for graduate-level roles within the health and social care sector.¿

LEARNING STRATEGIES
This model is experiential learning where students will gain practical and applied opportunities.¿¿¿
