Module Indicative Content
This module will introduce you to the background and the need to present ideas and information in two and three dimensions and its role within the professional practice of design.
An outline of the key methods and techniques associated with two dimensional presentation which will include marker rendering, coloured pencils and pastels, line weight drawings, and perspective
You will become more aware of the role of the computer, photography and layout in production and presentation of ideas.
You will develop a basic level of competence in the various materials and methods used through experimentation.
The culmination of the module will be a design project demonstrating competence and application of the above.
Module Learning Strategies
Watching demonstrations of various drawing, rendering and layout techniques. Experimenting with a number of techniques for visual representation in 2 and 3 dimensions. Independently developing your visualisation and layout skills in the studio, workshop, other parts of the university and at home and organising your work load
Presenting your work in a competent, professional and organised manner.
