INDICATIVE CONTENT
The module will introduce you to the role of computer modelling in the transport and automotive field. You will understand the use of CAD to support the design process as a modelling and visualisation tool. You will be introduced to the fundamental techniques of NURBS (Spline based modelling). You will produce an accurate CAD model, high-definition renders and an illustrated structured presentation detailing the development process of your modelling. Through the module you will learn that the best model makers have an excellent understanding of design.

LinkedIn Learning is another great resource in the learning of visualisation techniques.
We do not recommend purchasing books to learn software techniques as video content is much more valuable. Software instruction books also become quickly obsolete as software develops.

Automotive Visualisation is an engaging area of study. You will be using industry standard software and techniques used in sculptural creative modelling. As you progress through this module, you will be using modelling and visualisation software to create realistic animations, images, and real-time presentations. When you build a skillset in modelling and visualisation it can open the door to careers in numerous creative industries: Automotive Design, Film and Television, Architecture, Games Design, Web design and Photography.
