Essay - Counselling Theory 2, 500 words (Addressing all LO's)
Students will be asked to compare the Person-Centred counselling approach with two other counselling models.

Formative - Q and A, discussion, peer evaluation and feedback, self-evaluation, reflective journal, role-play, quiz, presentation, debate

The history and development of the core theoretical counselling models in counselling - humanistic. Psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioural.
- Key concepts of the core models.
- Person - Centred theory and how it informs and underpins integrative practice.
- The appropriateness of different styles and methods of interaction in relation to client issues.
