INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module will focus on the student’s personal development via their own personal therapy and on-going journal reflections. Students will also be encouraged to consider different placement opportunities ready for their forthcoming clinical placement.
Indicative content may include the following:
1. Student’s own intrapsychic process
2. Student’s own interpersonal process
3. Researching placements
LEARNING STRATEGIES
Incorporated across all core modules, includes the following:
• Group process – 14 hours
• Experiential and theoretical learning – 11 hours
• Supervised clinical practice in small and/or large groups – 14 hours
• Self-reflective journal writing – 4 hours
• student-focused activities encouraging active participation,(including tutorials, accessing electronic systems and support staff for data, literature, resources and contacts) – 7 hour
Guided Independent Study
Incorporated across all core modules, includes the following:
Guided Independent Study is considered to include:
• Reading and research (20 hours total)
• Personal Therapy attendance with a trained professional and subsequent personal reflection/journal (60 hours total)
• Placement and supervision research and preparation (50 hours total)
• Assignment preparation (20 hours total)

MODULE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1. Reflect upon 30 hours of personal therapy with a suitably qualified therapist and effectively communicate the results of your personal reflection from this process within an ongoing personal journal.¿¿
2. Research at least two placement opportunities and make sound judgements as to their appropriateness for your practice as a Humanistic and Integrative therapist within these settings.¿¿
3. Demonstrate the personal and professional responsibilities required in becoming an ethical humanistic and integrative therapist.

In addition, as per professional accreditation requirements all modules require attendance at a minimum of 100% of the scheduled sessions.¿¿
