Summative assessment
A 2,000 word case study assessing LOs 1 - 5
Formative learning
Students will be provided with formative assessment and feedback via case study workshops where students will practice presenting case study material that they have worked on in small groups.

Module Indicative Content
The module aims to provide students with an introduction to psychopathology and its relationship to health and illness. Students will be encouraged to consider what is meant by the term `mental illness' and the impact that such `illness' has on the lives of those who experience it. Psychological problems such as anxiety, stress and depression will be covered, with the focus of the module being on the causes, impact and treatments of such problems.
