Module Details
INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module allows you to gain real experience and to put into practice the knowledge, skills and theory that you have been previously taught. You will be supported in developing skills of self-reflection and critical evaluation of your own performance. A critical evaluation of your experience of counselling supervision is an important aspect of this module. Placement requirement is 100 supervised counselling hours.

ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
Task 1 – Students are required to write a reflective case study on one client from their own client base (LO1, LO2, LO3, LO4)

Task 2 - Students are also required to submit a Placement Profile containing Supervisors Reports x 2 (one at 50 hours and one at 100 hours and evidence of 100 counselling placement hours i.e. clients log sheets and supervision log sheets. Pass/Fail

Q and A, discussion, peer evaluation and feedback, self-evaluation, reflective journal,
role-play, peer supervision group.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
Learning strategies may include interactive lectures and skills practice sessions which consist of workshops, discussions, group-work, role-play, and individual tutorials. Reflection and reflective practice along with critical thinking will also be a key element of the programme in to facilitate professional learning. Independent study time includes researching, reading and reflection as well as assignment preparation.

1. Demonstrate skills in placement that show an ability to develop, maintain and conclude a counselling relationship with clients.
