INDICATIVE CONTENT
The module will support students to continue to work on life/career plans following their Steps to Success 2 module. Students will be supported to further develop their action plans as well as prepare outputs which might include professional CVs, personal statements and graduate LinkedIn profiles. Tasks might vary each year to reflect the employability and graduate needs of our students. University careers sessions will be provided to support students in their preparation for graduation and their future plans.
ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
The assessment is a careers/life plan conversation with the student’s academic mentor where the student will reflect on the process of working on a series of employability tasks which might include a personal statement, CV and LinkedIn profile. Students will also be asked to reflect on updated action plans for moving forwards with their career/life plans.
Formative assessment on this module will involve regular opportunities to reflect on assessment tasks with academic mentors and the university’s careers team.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
The module will be run by a combination of large group sessions and one-to-one tutorials.. The large group sessions will be supported by the University careers team and one-to-one tutorials with academic mentors will provide students with assessment preparation support opportunities as well as opportunities to reflect on their skill development and future plans.

1. Reflect, further research and synthesise your current position on a career/life plan and identify further opportunities to achieve next steps.

This module will act as one of the main support mechanisms in Level 6. You will be assigned a L6 supervisor/academic mentor who will support you in further developing your career/life plans. You will be supported in working on a series of tasks designed to help you in preparing for graduation; example tasks include developing a CV, personal statement and graduate LinkedIn profile.
