Students will be able to submit drafts of teaching plans for commentary and feedback from other students and from tutors. A discussion forum will be established for students to raise concerns, seek peer support, to engage in peer learning, and to discuss their ideas on the reflective essay; tutors will provide feedback throughout.
Module Indicative Content
This module relates to the A level curriculum areas in which AS/A level students are encouraged to think about real life applications of psychology. Students will be able to choose areas of applied Psychology from their own professional and personal interests, relating to their own A level examination board curriculum, in which to develop their own knowledge and understanding. Applied areas to be covered include teaching psychology, health psychology, educational psychology, clinical psychology, criminal psychology, counselling psychology and sport psychology. In addition, students will be encouraged to apply their understanding of psychological theory to teaching and student support in a professional context.
