Module Indicative Content
This module will build on the core reflective skills that trainees were taught in the first year. Building on those skills it will focus on the impact of clinical work on self and the effective use of clinical supervision. Drawing on current legislation this module will help trainees to research the latest clinical governance issues and to use the range of resources available to them to ensure that their practice is ethical.
Module Learning Strategies
Interactive workshops are used to explain, explore and develop understanding of key issues of relevance for this module. One day will be spent reflecting on personal and professional issues on us as clinical psychologists. Participants are encouraged to draw on experience from supervised clinical practice during these workshops through the use of a reflective journal. There will also be time spent on web-based learning - giving trainees the opportunity to learn about the range of materials that are readily available to them to help them in their clinical practice.
