Computer with Internet access and running statistical software capable of analysis as required and giving access to databases

Module Learning Strategies
Literature search, identification of a research topic, writing a research proposal, gaining ethical clearance, carrying out the research and writing two reports in the format of a submission to a named peer-reviewed journal, and one reflective report on the research process. These activities are supported by module 4 (psychology research methods) in year one and by research and writing skills workshops in years 2 and 3.

Module Additional Assessment Details
Students will be required to complete 1 piece of summative assessment which addresses outcomes 1 and 2.

THESIS comprising
a) 2 publishable papers in format for submission to peer reviewed journals
i) Literature Review (up to 8000 words)
ii) Research Report (up to 8000 words)
AND
b) 1 reflective report of research process (up to 3000 words).

Students will be provided with formative assessment and feedback via structured written feedback identifying strengths, weaknesses and guidance for improvement.
