• Critical appraisal of research evidence – conducting literature reviews
• Theories and experimental studies of process with anxiety disorders
• Linking theory with practice, clinical trials and outcome studies of CBT with anxiety

Module Additional Assessment Details
An orally presented case study based on material from clinical experience (30 minutes) - 50% weighted
This assignment assesses knowledge of cognitive behavioural theory and the ability to conceptualise a case of anxiety according to a proscribed formulation model. Addresses learning outcomes 1, 2, 3.

A video recording of a client session who has anxiety and was the subject of the orally presented case study, and a 1000 word process case report. – 50% weighted
This assignment assesses CBT practice and is marked against industry standard recognised measures. Addresses learning outcome 4.

Both assessments need to be passed to pass the module.
Module Learning Strategies
There will be ten full day teaching sessions during which the following strategies will be used
• Didactic teaching – 14 hours
• Review of therapy videos – to provide examples of the application of different approaches – 14 hours
• Seminar presentations – participants will prepare for and lead seminars on topics of relevance to the learning outcomes of the module – 14 hours
• Experiential learning of behavioural experiments to test anxiety hypotheses – 28 hours
