During this time there are opportunities to learn through modelling and feedback & participants are also encouraged to integrate clinical experience with academic and research material and to develop more specialised areas of interest. The 'Elective' component of the clinical practice means that trainees may choose the locality / service as long as they can demonstrate to their Appraisal Tutor that the necessary competencies (LO1 & LO3) can be acquired.
