Reflexive Report and Diary: (Maximum 2,000 words) The report is a reflexive account of students' teaching experiences through the course. It should include reflections on their ability to design, plan, deliver, and evaluate useful training programmes in health psychology research and its applications, and should relate to at least two different groups of students, one of which should be health professionals. The reflexive diary is submitted as an appendix to the report and may consist of material such as session plans, details of the sessions, self-reflections, student evaluations and peer observations. Outcomes 1, 2, 3 and 4

Case Study: (Maximum 2,000 words): Students are required to write a report describing one example where they have planned and designed a training programme in Health Psychology research and its applications. They must describe how they assessed training needs, identified training programme structure and content, selected training materials, and how they would assess learning outcomes. They should include examples of materials used in the sessions. Outcomes 1 and 2

Evaluation: (Maximum 2,000 words): Students must evaluate the teaching programme described in the Case Study, including examples of any student evaluation forms used. They should identify aspects of the programme that were successful and those that were less successful, and make suggestions for improvements for future programmes. Outcome 3

Video /Teaching Plan: (Maximum 2,000 words): Students must supply a written teaching plan and recording of a teaching session with a different type of students to those described in the Case Study, with a written evaluation of the session. Outcome 4

Assessment Criteria
A pass in a module will require all of the following
Evidence of critical evaluation of knowledge at the forefront of the discipline;
Ability to create and interpret new knowledge
Ability to present this at a standard suitable to satisfy peer review
Demonstration that you have acquired the skills necessary to practice as a Health Psychologist, including practising with regard to ethical principles, and accepting accountability for decision making.

All units within the module will normally need to be passed.
Module Indicative Content
Construction and initiation of teaching plans. Development of reflexivity in teaching. Using recent developments in health psychology research to inform teaching content. Preparation for, and teaching of small and large groups. Other relevant professional issues relating to teaching health psychology, including student evaluations of teaching performance, issues concerning delivery of material, including health psychology research findings, virtual learning environments.

Module Special Admissions Requirements
You must satisfy these admission requirements
Hold an honours degree recognised by the British Psychological Society as offering Graduate Basis for Registration AND
Have completed British Psychological Society Stage One training in Health Psychology (a BPS accredited MSc in Health Psychology)
