hold an honours degree recognised by the British Psychological Society as offering Graduate Basis for Registration AND
have completed British Psychological Society Stage One training in Health Psychology (a BPS accredited MSc in Health Psychology)

Module Additional Assessment Details
1. Consultancy Contract: (maximum 4,000 words): Students are required to present an actual OR proposed consultancy contract with a DIFFERENT client group to that discussed in the Case Study. They should identify, prioritise and agree expectations and needs of this client group; review relevant literature, assess feasibility, and plan the consultancy, resulting in a detailed implementation plan. Learning Outcome 1

2. Case Study: (Maximum 4,000 words): Students need to (i) submit ONE example of a consultancy report in Health Psychology prepared for their client(s) which includes recommendations based on the evidence collected and (ii) write a reflective report describing how they established a working relationship with clients, planned and conducted the consultancy, managed, monitored and evaluated their work. Learning outcomes 1, 2, 3 and 4

N.B. At least ONE set of clients should be Health Professionals.

Assessment Criteria

A pass in a module will require all of the following
evidence of critical evaluation of knowledge at the forefront of the discipline;
ability to create and interpret new knowledge
ability to present this at a standard suitable to satisfy peer review
demonstration that you have acquired the skills necessary to practice as a Health Psychologist, including practising with regard to ethical principles, and accepting accountability for decision making.

All units within the module will normally need to be passed.
Module Indicative Content
Assessment of requests for consultancy, including establishing needs of client group; planning, managing, monitoring and evaluation of consultancy work in Health Psychology; formulating recommendations for clients; disseminating knowledge effectively; implementation of recommendations.
