Students will be required to complete 1 piece of summative assessment.

To produce a neuropsychological assessment and formulation from a clinical case (max 3,000 words). Addresses outcomes 1-4.

Students will be provided with formative assessment and feedback via structured written feedback identifying strengths, weaknesses and guidance for improvement.

This module will emphasise the different ways of assessing psychological processes. Focussing on neuropsychological assessment this module will introduce trainees to standardised neuropsychological test materials and highlight the strengths and weaknesses of using them when working with people and families. It will look at how well the findings from these tests generalise and emphasises additional ways to gather information about people. The teaching will enable trainees to consider assessment across a range of client groups including people from learning disability, health and neuropsychological services. This module will help trainees to interpret and use test materials and data and to feed this information back to service-users, it will also introduce trainees to services and interventions available to help people and their families to cope with neurological problems and differences.
