Module Learning Strategies
Participants spend a minimum of 128 days undertaking supervised clinical practice within a range of human service settings. During this time there are opportunities to learn through modelling and feedback & participants are also encouraged to integrate clinical experiecde with academic and research materal.
Module Indicative Content
This module will require trainees to undertake collaborative assessments and formulations. It will also include intervening over a limited period of time. Trainees are expected to develop their skills in evaluating their work in a number of ways including feedback from clients. They will be required to integrate a range of models and appreciate differences in power and diversity. They will be expected to work around issues relating to health, capacity, quality of life as well as loss and adaptation. Trainees should also learn about different ways of supporting care staff and relatives and to begin to understand the nature of advocacy for people living with illness and disability.
Module Additional Assessment Details
Students will be required to complete 2 pieces of summative assessment:

2 x Evaluation of Clinical Competence (50%). Addresses outcomes 1 - 3

Students must pass both elements of assessment in order to pass the module.
