Module Additional Assessment Details
Students will be required to complete 1 piece of summative assessment:
A coursework essay of 1500 words, comprising 100% of the overall mark assessing LOs 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Students will be provided with formative assessment and feedback via:
Tutor-led sessions and Peer-review discussion.
Module Indicative Content
The module aims to provide students with an understanding of the role of Public Health organisations and how their activities have changed with changing technologies and social values. The role of physical activity (PA) as an emerging area of priority with regard to public health will be outlined. The effectiveness of different health promotion strategies using physical activity will be discussed.
