ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
FIVE SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENTS

4 short answer questions in exam conditions of 45 minutes each, weighted at 15% each assessing LO's 1, 2 and 3.

1 unseen EXAM comprising of short answer and essay questions, 90 minutes long, weighted at 40% assessing all LO's.

Additional Assessment Details (include formative feedback / assessment):
Case studies of ethical problems which are in the public domain will be explored. Groups will be provided with formative feedback around how they develop their discussion and problem identification.

An introduction to key philosophical concepts relating to ethical and moral behaviour.
The importance of ethical and professional behaviour in public sector organisations.
The ethical aspects of team working and partnership.
The professional client relationship as an ethical problem.
Group analysis of case studies of ethical dilemmas in health care.
Whistle-blowing in health and social care.
Safeguarding of vulnerable adults, child protection and end of life decisions.
The importance of personal traits, record keeping and up-to-date knowledge in health and social care.
