Tutor feedback on progression and preparation for summative assessment will be provided via individual tutorials.
Module Indicative Content
Terminology and classifications for ethnic and racial groups.
The health care needs and inequalities faced by ethnic minority groups in the UK.
Policy and approaches to health and health care services for ethnic minority groups in relation to the global perspective of transcultural health.
Module Learning Strategies
This module will be delivered face-to-face using a combination of lectures, seminars and tutorials. In addition, the virtual learning environment [Blackboard] will be used as a repository for module information and study materials; provide an on-line discussion area for students to engage beyond the face-to-face contact and provide opportunities to engage in on-line activities such as the setting up of wikis.
