This module is designed to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding and practice-based skills in the following key areas of advice work:-

? Anti oppressive practice in advice work
? Personal and wider values and their impact on advice work
? A critical evaluation of direct advice work undertaken in an advice agency

? Other modules on the Award relevant to the area of advice

? Relevant texts and other materials as recommended in the Award modules and/or advised by the agency supervisor.

1. An assignment about what it means to be an anti oppressive advice worker in the student?s advice work agency 2000 words (30%) (learning outcome 2)
And

2. 10 examples of practice drawn from at least two and not more than four of the following areas of practice.
Benefits Advice; Consumer Advice; Debt Advice; Employment Advice and Housing Advice. (70%)

There should be examples from each chosen area of practice, with an introductory contextualising statement.
400 words x 10 = 4000 words (learning outcomes 1 & 3)

You will need to have the opportunity to undertake a range of advice work in an advice work agency in order to complete this module.
