ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
In this assessment students will be asked to reflect on a video of their own coaching. Students will be tasked with challenging their ability to articulate their successes and areas for further development. Students should refer to recent and relevant literature to support the themes discussed in the reflection.
INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module allows students to explore sports coaching in a variety of settings but with a focus on increasing participation. Working with a variety of participants from a range of diverse backgrounds will provide the students a unique opportunity to utilise a range of important practical skills to allow all learners to make progress within their session. Students will have the opportunity to work with partners to gain some experience of the coaching industry in practice. Students then have the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learnt in the form of practical coaching session and personal reflection.
Students will focus on differentiation, questioning and practical delivery within the coaching module. By the end of the module students will have a practical experience and the opportunity to deliver whilst undertaking a critical reflective process to enhance and improve their coaching.

LEARNING STRATEGIES
On this module, you will learn primarily through practical coaching experiences supported by workshops and guided reflection. You will take part in coached and peer led sessions that focus on differentiation, effective questioning and inclusive delivery, allowing you to adapt your approach to meet the needs of different participants. Opportunities to work with external partners will help you understand coaching in applied settings and develop professional behaviours. Throughout the module, you will be encouraged to reflect critically on your coaching practice, using feedback from tutors, peers and participants to identify strengths and areas for development. This blend of practical delivery, collaboration and reflection will support you in improving your coaching effectiveness and confidence.
