2. Identify applications of the "principles of play" in real game situations. (AP1, A2)
Module Indicative Content
The module aims to proved students with an introduction to "principles of play" in team games, such as balance in defence, penetration in attack. The applicationss of these principles in a variety of team games will be considered. The laws of team games will be considered and the different approaches to officiating considered. The structure of the various governing bodies and the various qualifications available in team games will be described. The application of the principles of coaching and teaching will be applied in the team games setting.

Students will be required to complete 1 piece of summative assessment:
Analysis of selected team games situations. (Assesses LOs 1 & 2)

Opportunities to practice observing and analysing from videos (in lectures) and during practical sessions.
