Module Details
Module Additional Assessment Details
1 x module file (portfolio) covering outcomes 1, 2, and 3 (2000 words).
The module file (portfolio) will contain details of the performance demands of the sports and activities undertaken together with a written review (including video evidence), of own and peer performance and development.

It is important to note that an individual's practical performance per se in any sport/activity is not being assessed. What is assessed is the written record and review of performance, detailed within the portfolio.

Formative feedback
As this unit requires the student to work closely with both the tutor and (peer) performers throughout, there will be a continuous process of giving and receiving feedback, particularly during and after practical sessions and workshops. In addition, the student is required to present a module file for assessment. Formative feedback will be provided by the tutor via a series of interim reviews of the module file approximately every 6 weeks.
Module Indicative Content
This unit will enable the learners to describe, perform and evaluate specific sports from a range of sporting activities, and allows learners to select two sports from the range of available options in order to concentrate on sports in which they have a specific interest. Learners are required to describe the performance demands of their two chosen sports and apply this knowledge in a practical setting. Whilst a specific standard of practical performance is not required, learners are expected to demonstrate analytical, problem solving and communication skills in order to develop performance. The review of personal performance is also required.
Module Learning Strategies
