Module Additional Assessment Details
A range of formative and summative assessment methods will be used which are appropriate to the teaching and learning delivery method, mode of attendance and proposed weighting criteria used for this module, and as reflected within the Scheme and Award specifications.
A contextualised and approved assessment strategy and schedule will be published to students by award.
With regards to the HREF students, the Module will be split into two assessments (identified below), which will be linked to a work placement.
1. Report (based on the work place/placement) - 2000 words (addressing LO's 1 and 4)
2. Individual Presentation - 15 minutes (addressing LO's 2 and 3)
Students must attempt all assessments and achieved an overall pass grade for the module
Formative feedback will be provided in a variety of forms, including written feedback on proposed titles, outline assignment plans and full drafts
Feedback may take place via full-class, group and individual tutorials

Module Indicative Content
- Introduction to appropriate evaluation tools and techniques
- Assessment of skills required for your current or anticipated placement.
- The use of organisational analysis tools for investigation.
- Organisational structures (staffing spine) discuss advantages/disadvantages of different structures, governance and roles and responsibilities within the work place.
- Funding implications and impact on private, voluntary or public organisations.
- Impact of professional statutory and regulatory bodies.
- Identify changes (economic, social, political, environmental, and technological) locally, regionally, nationally and globally within the sector and the impact on the organisation.
- Organisational aims (profit), this will link to stakeholders (customers/employees/directors ¿ anyone with a vested interest in the organisation)
- Customer need and client base relating to the nature of the sector
- Identify current legislation relating to health related exercise and fitness and the impact on the organisation.
- Discuss past and current changes to national policies and the effect on health locally and nationally.
- Develop a range of study skills methods
- Develop accurate Harvard referencing skills.
- Use research to develop the skill of academic writing.
