Assessment Details
1) Written assignment – 1000 word (50%) (LO1, 2, 3 & 4) Assessing knowledge of human behaviour and application in the context of sport or exercise.

2) A 90 minute open book online exam (50%) to assess knowledge of sport and exercise psychology topics. This assessment covers learning outcomes 1,2,3 and 4.
Indicative Content
The 13 weeks of the module will cover sport and exercise psychology.

Content includes

1. Selected theoretical, approaches to understanding human behaviour within sport and exercise settings.

2. Basic processes underlying learning and performance in sport using a human cognitive model.

3. Selected psychological theories that have been applied to exercise adoption, participation and adherence.
Learning Strategies
Students will learn through a combination of video lectures, independent activities, formative feedback tasks, peer to peer discussions, and 1-2-1 tutor support.

Contact Hours:
Five hours of 1-2-1 tutor –support.

Independent Study hours:
13 x 1 hours of video lectures will provide a general overview of themes and topics covered in the module.
13 x 18 hours of engagement with weekly tasks and activities (e.g., consolidating video lectures, reading and engaging with resources/links, inquiry based learning, discussion boards, formative assessments).
48 hours of assignment preparation and completion.
