Module Additional Assessment Details
Students will be required to complete 1 piece of summative assessment:

A 2000 word portfolio. This will comprise a 1500 word exercise behaviour change programme.
It will also include a 500 word application of psychological theory and research to an issue outlined in the media.
This will contribute 100% of the overall module mark and will assess LOs 1, 2 and 3.


Students will be prepared for this assessment by:
A 2 hour assessment guidance workshop.
Module Indicative Content
This course outlines selected psychological theories (eg self-efficacy theory), models (eg health-belief model), practitioner skills (eg effective communication) and research in exercise setings. Students will apply knowledge
of these theories, models, skills and research in planning an exercise behaviour change programme and discussing a current issue reported in the media.

64 hours preparation for the end of module assignment
