Module Learning Strategies
Students will follow a thirty week guided study programme and access support material via the college VLE. The module will consist of 3 hours per week.

The module will include:

60 taught contact hours (2 hours X 30 weeks)
- 1 hour taught
- 1 hour seminar discussion per week
- Minimum of 30 hours placement

210 Independent study hours
- 60 hrs background reading,
- 60 hrs assessment planning
- 90 hrs assessment writing
Module Additional Assessment Details
All assessment elements of the module must be passed.

Project report - 70% - 3,000 words (LO1 & 2)
Your report should consider benefits of and barriers to change and include constructive recommendations based on the results of your project investigation.

Presentation - 20% - 10 mins (LO 3)
The presentation should communicate key findings and constructive recommendations for change.

Reflective statement - 10% - 500 words - (LO 4) Your reflective statement should explain how completing this project has contributed to your personal and professional development

All elements, including your reflective statement, must be supported by references.
Module Indicative Content
Through negotiation with your tutor and your workplace/work placement, you will obtain approval to design undertake a project focussing on an area of interest related to sports development and coaching. Your project must result in constructive recommendations for change.

During this module you will discuss:
- Change and project management principles
- Debate the challenges and opportunities of applying rigorous research to organisational and individual practice and the extent to which this is linked to quality, service improvement and personal and professional development.
- Undertake work experience

You are expected to integrate knowledge and skills developed in other modules during your studies and relate them to relevant, contemporary workplace practices. The module is designed to meet your individual learning and development needs and be directly relevant to your practice and your career.
