The module will be supported by an Enterprise & Employability Resource Bank that will provide learning materials from your Faculty/School, Careers as well as external contributors. Students will be encouraged through the Students Union's Enterprise Society to make use of student-led activities such as workshops, mentoring and networking events provided by NACUE (National Consortium of University Entrepreneurs) as well using and populating a website/depository for disseminating and sharing `good practice'.

Indicative Content
This module will require learners to build upon their knowledge of research gained in the level 4 Developing Research Skills module. Within this module learner’s will gain knowledge and understanding of research design, data collection methods, and data analysis skills. Learners will complete further data analysis skills in either quantitative or qualitative analysis as per the area of expertise their programme demands of them.

Learners will be required to apply their research skills by planning, conducting and analysing data for a small research project of qualitative or quantitative design relevant to their programme.

Learners will finally develop their own ideas on the dissertations projects in which they wish to undertake in level 6. This will include developing an understanding of how to construct a proposal and one to one meetings with relevant dissertation supervisors

Assessment Details
Coursework - Project (2,000 words) weighted at 50%.
Dissertation Proposal Presentation 10 minutes) weighted at 50%.

Students will be required to complete two assessments

1. Assessment 1- Project 2000w (50%) (LO1, 2, 3 )
Learners are required to complete a research project. Learners will be provided a qualitative and qualitative project title relevant to their course of study, to which they must assign themselves. Learners are required to plan and conduct the project and analyse the data and write a 2000-word report on the project.

2. Assessment 2- Dissertation Proposal Presentation (10 minutes). (50%) (LO1, 4)
Learners are required to present a 10-minute oral presentation around their dissertation proposal. The presentation must include a background / justification, methodology, and ethical considerations.
