INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module aims to develop skills, techniques and rehabilitation tools commonly used as part of treatment and rehabilitation of injuries. Students will gain knowledge and understanding of the body's response to tissue healing and be able to apply evidence-based rehabilitation techniques to each of these phases. Students will broadly cover exercise and treatment modalities to improve range of motion, proprioception, strength, endurance, power, and many other components of health and fitness. Students will learn how to modify their exercise programming and prescription based on the requirements of different case scenarios.

LEARNING STRATEGIES
In order to provide the best learning experience to our students, the sport therapy and rehabilitation team is committed to providing an environment that supports and encourages students to develop their knowledge, understanding and technical skills. To achieve this, we use a variety of teaching and learning techniques to meet the diverse needs of our students. These techniques include, but are not limited to, problem-based learning, context-based learning, simulation, and peer to peer learning. This approach ensures that students are able to contextualise their knowledge and understanding and best prepares them for employment.
This module is predominantly taught practically within the Staffordshire University Rehabilitation Zone. Students will be taught the necessary theoretical knowledge alongside the associated practical skills to add context for the students. Students will be given case studies to work on throughout the module to aid their assessment preparation.
