Module Additional Assessment Details
Students will be required to complete 1 piece of summative assessment:
Production of a 3000 word portfolio. This will comprise a critical discussion of a number of contemporary issues in sport psychology requiring students to draw on, and critically evaluate, a range of primary research material. This assessment will be worth 100% of the module's mark and assess LOs 1, 2 and 3.
Students will be prepared for this assessment by formative assessment delivered during the workshop sessions.

Module Indicative Content
This course discusses theory and empirical research pertaining to contemporary issues in sport psychology.
Topic areas covered include stress and sport performance, the psychology of officiating, goal perspectives in sport,
the psychology of sport injury, disabled athletes and sport performance and the dynamics of the coach-athlete relationship.
