The production of a vocationally orientated piece of work that is of value to the host and demands the opportunity for the application of critical literature. Module Indicative Content
The placement module aims to provide experience of learning from and applying knowledge to, a SHE relevant working environment. Each student is given the opportunity to undertake a specific and relevant work place based task that is agreed by the tutor. The module provides students with the opportunity to develop key personal and transferable skills by applying their knowledge and skills to a specific context relevant to their Award or area of interest. While this placement module has generic aims and learning outcomes the details of each placement will be determined by the module leader and thus a placement for one student may be different to a placement for another. For example a student on the BA (Hons) Sports Studies Award may work with a school and produce a series of coaching plans while a student on the BSc Sport and Exercise Science award may develop nutritional advice guidelines for students.
