Module Indicative Content
The module will examine the application of research methodologies to international comparative sports study. It will establish the broad parameters of sport in Britain as a comparative base. The concept and function of international sport in development in selected countries will then be examined. Students will examine specific sports issues cross-culturally (e.g. elite sport, young people and gender).
Module Additional Assessment Details
Students will be required to complete 2 pieces of summative assessment.
1. A 20 minute seminar presentation (Assesses Learning Outcomes 1 & 2)
2. A 60 minute timed unseen essay in examination conditions (Assesses Learning Outcome 3)

Opportunities for formative feedback will be provided throughout the module. In particular, students will be provided with an opportunity to receive comment on prepared answers prior to the exam and practice presentations.
