Module Additional Assessment Details
A range of formative and summative assessment methods will be used which are appropriate to the teaching and learning delivery method, mode of attendance and proposed weighting criteria used for this module.
A contextualised and approved assessment strategy and schedule will be published to students.
Summative assessment
Students will be required to complete 2 pieces of summative assessment:
1. Written Report (LO1,LO2 and LO3) 60% weighting of module (word count 2000)
2. Individual Presentation (LO4 and LO5) 40% weighting of module (15 minutes)
Formative feedback will be provided in a variety of forms, including written feedback on proposed titles, outline assignment plans and full drafts and verbal feedback.

- Statistical and measurement concepts in research
- Descriptive statistics & cross tabulations
- Use of conceptual ideas and formation of a potential methodological design.
- Researching secondary data
- Provide the tools and techniques for completion of the final year investigation
- Become familiar with current mythological design within an area of interest
- To become familiar and gain an awareness of a successful independent research project.
- How to create a time related plan for a proposed area of interest.
- To develop an awareness of existing literature in a selected area of interest.

35 hours background reading of textbooks and journals
20 hours of independent online research material
20 hours of preparing your research project and presentation
15 collection of primary data and data analysis
10 hours of proof reading and additional research
