Module Additional Assessment Details
A range of formative and summative assessment methods will be used which are appropriate to the teaching and learning delivery method, mode of attendance and proposed weighting criteria used for this module.
A contextualised and approved assessment strategy and schedule will be published to students.
Summative assessment
You will be required to complete 2 pieces of summative assessment:
1. A 3000 word written essay, worth 60% of the overall module mark, to assess LO: 1, 2, and 5.
2. A time constrained assignment in the format of a written Q&A exercise to establish competency to prescribe exercise and nutritional plans to client , worth 40% of the overall module mark, to assess LO: 3 & 4.
All learning outcomes are covered by two assessment methods.
The module has a formative piece of assessment: - Client Practical that is compulsory this do not contribute to the overall grade but are a requirement for students to pass this module and establish competency for the Register of Exercise Professionals.
Formative feedback will be provided in a variety of forms, including written feedback on proposed titles, outline assignment plans and full drafts and verbal feedback.
