1. A video-recorded 10-minute PRESENTATION weighted at 50%. This assessment examines LO 1. 50%
2. An ASSIGNMENT length 2000 words weighted at 50%. This assessment examines LOS 2 & 3. (Final assessment) 50%
Indicative Content
• Students will explore how individuals respond to and function in competitive situations, such as sport. Historical (e.g., REBT) and current (e.g., ACT) approaches to performance psychology will be outlined.
• Key issues regarding the application of psychology will include ethics, adherence issues, methods of evaluation, and measuring effectiveness. The module will also explore a range of psychological strategies (e.g., imagery, self-talk) used to maintain and enhance performance.

Students will develop their understanding through a mixture of methods.

Contact hours:
6 hours of scheduled tutor support/supervision.
Guided Independent Study:
13 x 1 hours of video lectures will provide a general overview of themes and topics covered in the module.
13 x 18 hours of engagement with weekly tasks and activities (e.g., consolidating video lectures, reading and engaging with resources/links, inquiry-based learning, discussion boards, formative assessments).
48 hours of assignment preparation and completion.
