ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
Summative
The assessment is a 2000-word scheme of work. Throughout the module, you will explore critical issues in physical education, considering how these can be and are navigated by professional physical educators. You will examine teaching and learning pedagogical approaches, critically evaluating the place of these in various PE contexts and examining the potential success of these across ages, ability levels and in line with the expectation of the National Curriculum for Physical Education. Based on that information, you will complete a scheme of work, a key document in the toolkit of any PE teacher and an expectation of professional practice.
Formative
Formative assessment will form a key aspect of preparing students for their summative assessment. All students will receive a formative assessment opportunity as part of the module.
