Module Details
Module Learning Strategies
The learning strategy for this module requires students to commit 150 learning hours. Of this there will be 36 hours of class support and 114 hours of independent and self directed study. Learning support material will be provided for the module. Lectures will provide students with a broad overview of the indicative content of the module. Tutor support activities will include individual and group activities, discussions and case study analysis.

Module Indicative Content
This module seeks to introduce students to the idea of organisations as having variety in terms of structure and culture and as consumers of resources (tangible, financial and human). Different approaches to structure, culture and resources will be examined. The second part of the module will examine strategic topics which organisations have to make decisions about, namely managing stakeholders, development via organic and external growth, drivers and approaches to change and managing turnaround.
