Module Additional Assessment Details
An individual research dissertation of 15,000 words (plus/minus 1000 words, exclusive of appendices of no more than 10% of the wordage of the document or 10 pages, which is the greater and at no less than 12pt size text except where impracticable).

Module Special Admissions Requirements
It is a special condition that to register on this Dissertation module, candidates must have studied the postgraduate 'Business Research Methods' module (BSB20133-M or equivalent)

Module Learning Strategies
Prior to the acceptance of the student to the module it must have been verified and agreed that the only course of action available to the student would be to enrol on the Distance Learning mode of study for this Dissertation module.
Following acceptance on to the module a preliminary face to face meeting will take place between the student and allocated supervisor where a learning contract will be entered into and signed by both parties. The learning contract will identify how the student and their supervisors expect the learning outcomes of this module to specifically support and assist the student's own programme of research.
Apart from the initial face to face meeting, the majority of the module is conducted through independent learning and reference to an assigned supervisor. The supervisor will give advice and guidance via email and other suitable online modes of communication as laid out in the learning contract of the student for this module.
Module Indicative Content
The module facilitates the exploration and critical review of a substantial individual research enquiry within the field of Business Administration. It demonstrates individual knowledge, skills and competency development - offering experience of producing a competent research based piece of work.
