Brief Description: Critical essay on selected issue regarding tactical and operational level of management in selected company.
Length: max. 3000 words.
INDICATIVE CONTENT
1. Basic functions and characteristics of management and s processes, intended and emergent strategies.
2. Instrumentalism, management recipes and paradigms.
3. Management - mission statement, strategies and goals, corporate, business, horizontal and functional strategies.
4. Analysing factors which influence the organisation in business conditions, the competitive environment, stakeholders, internal environment - assessing resource capability and control of the value chain.
5. Key aspects of tactical and operational levels of management including its relationship with organisational strategy
6. Methodological issues related to management
7. Management concept, its evaluation and selection
8. Research in management
9. Organisational structures, cultures and processes and their significance
10. Managing change and renewal. Changing styles, cultures and leadership.

LEARNING STRATEGIES
Students will engage in direct teaching sessions / lectures and following structured learning.

Following the lectures and prior to completing assessment students will engage with guided learning which will consolidate all new knowledge and understanding.

Independent learning strategies will include electronic consultations, electronic discussion groups and if asked for - personal consultations / advice with lecture team members.
