Completion of 10 weeks work for Alton Towers (Merlin Group) during L4 of the course and a presentation (15 minutes)
INDICATIVE CONTENT
Completion of a minimum of 10 weeks of work for Alton Towers during L4 of the course.
To provide practical experience of working within and for the organisation.
To increase awareness of how the business operates in practice.
To develop appropriate behavioural attitudes within the working environment
To develop personal transferable skills

1. To describe and apply theory and/or concepts of the level 4 award learning outcomes as experienced in the placement weeks.

1x 2 hour introductory workshop and 1 x 1 hour workshop
Each student will have a personal experience on the programme.
Students will undertake their agreed work within Alton Towers (Merlin Group)
In addition to this students will develop their learning from the organisations technical materials and training, the experience of working to targets usually in a managed team; the preparation for a writing of an assignment and a workplace reflective journal

Must be registered on the FdA Visitor Attraction & Resort Management course, part of which involves employment with Alton Towers

This module requires completion of a minimum of 10 weeks of work for a visitor attraction (Alton Towers) during the first year of your course. This is your opportunity to bring module knowledge and understanding to life, in an industry context, applying what you have learnt to your placement on resort.
