An assignment of 2000 words, to cover all learning outcomes.
INDICATIVE CONTENT
The patterns and characteristics of demand in the arts, entertainment and heritage industries will be examined. Particular aspects of cost and production, and the associated problems and solutions in these areas will be analysed. Pricing policies, subsidies and sponsorship in for profit and not-for-profit organisations will be explored. Government policy issues in these sectors in theory and practice will be examined.

LEARNING STRATEGIES
The learning strategy for this module requires students to commit 150 learning hours (including assessment). Of this there will be 36 hours of class support (24 hours of formal lectures/large group activity, 12 hours of tutorials) and 114 hours of independent and self directed study. Learning support material will be provided for the module. The class support will contain a variety of methods including lectures, workshops, discussion, case studies and problem solving. The independent learning will include preparation of worksheet questions, directed reading and analysis of data.
