Module Indicative Content
This module is intended to allow you the opportunity to gain skills in practical usage of a selection of widely-used IT packages (e.g. Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Electronic Presentations) which may be of use in supporting your other studies. The features and facilities of each package will be studied to enable you to recognise which software is appropriate for a specific task.
During the essentially practical sessions, the following topics will be addressed: virus problems and methods of safeguarding against infection, sharing of data between the different packages, choosing the appropriate software, consideration of the use of such software in business and in industry.
Module Assessment
A CLASS-TEST length 1.5 HOUR(S) weighted at 35%.
A CLASS-TEST - SECOND CLASS TEST length 1.5 HOUR(S) weighted at 35%.
A ASSIGNMENT weighted at 30%.
