Module Learning Outcome
1. Distinguish between types of cable used in network installation, uses and limitations
2. Expalin the operation of current LAN standards
3. Choose and design appropriate LANs for given situation
4. Explain and apply TCP/IP protocol
5. Explain operation WAN standards (e.g. leased lines, frame relay, ISDN, POTS, ATM)
This module will also give you opportunity to demonstrate the following skills:
(a) An understanding of a specific body of knowledge and skills
(b) Formulate a practical solution to a problem, making effective use of the time and resources available
