Module Learning Strategies
Lectures and seminars will be used to present and discuss various aspects of communication and team working.
You will work in teams of approximately four members in the scheduled classes, during the three day residential period and in unsupervised study time to analyse a problem presented in a case study and produce a prototype solution. Staff will role play and be available for interview during scheduled classes, during the residential weekend and at other times by appointment.

Module Additional Assessment Details
1. Coursework (100%) consisting of:
Group case study (Learning outcomes 1 - 8 and a - l) a group mark will be derived from:
project management documentation
analysis and design documentation
prototype
presentations
Individual student grades will be derived from:
the group mark
presentations
peer group assessment
tutor observation
a short individual report containing a critical appraisal and evaluation of the process and product

A suitable enviroment for a residential weekend, remote from the university, will be arranged by the school of computing but charged to the student.
