Module Details
Module Indicative Content
The module content will facilitate in depth discussion and critical evaluation of issues underpinning leadership practice reflecting the three themes highlighted in the National Leadership Framework (2002).
Contemporary leadership theories, leadership qualities, self awareness and visionary leadership.

Service delivery for example clinical governance, team building, responsibility and accountability, partnership working and empowerment

Setting direction, including political awareness, leading and managing change, decision making and horizon scanning, resource management and budgeting
Module Additional Assessment Details
Seminar presentation of twenty minutes based on an audit identifying a minor resource need within the students practice setting. Students will be expected to use a systematic approach to the audit based on the implementation of a recognised audit tool
Weighting 30% - 1000 word equivalent (Contributes to Learning Outcomes 1 and 2)

2. Preparation of a bid/proposal, based on the audit, providing a range of evidence to obtain financial support for the resource identified. The proposal must include the relationship to national and local plans and provide a coherent methodology to support the bid. (Contributes to Learning Outcomes 3 and 4) Weighting 70% - 2000 words

Both elements of the assessment must be passed in order to successfully pass the module
