An ASSIGMT length 3,000 WORDS weighted at 80%.
Critically compare and reflect upon two selected case studies from current practice to demonstrate a range of assessment approaches, diagnostic skills and care interventions to support a service user and their carers affected by psychosis (assessing LOs 1,2 and 3)
A VIVA PRESENTATION- of selected Case Study- weighted at 20% (assessing LO 4)
Additional Assessment Details:
- Select two case studies demonstrating symptoms indicative of psychosis.
- Critically examine through application of contemporary research/ evidence the employed assessment skills and diagnosis.
- Critically examine application of prevention, interventions, risk and care management strategies.
- Reflect, compare and contrast your approach identifying alternative skills and understandings.
-Prepare a case study presentation demonstrating an in-depth understanding of symptoms indicative of psychosis and your therapeutic approach in their care management.
Formative Feedback:
Students will be provided with the opportunity for formative feedback informally throughout the modules, through email support and formal tutorials.

Recognition, acknowledgement and management of psychosis
Early detection, prevention, care management and health promotion for clients experiencing psychosis and their carers
Relevant theoretical models and Recovery based approaches to clinical practice, identifying and managing risk
Multi-disciplinary and inter-professional working.
Diagnosis - assessment and strengths and limitations of diagnosis and categorisation
Shared care, carers perspective and approaches, care frameworks and support of the clients journey
Evidence based practice, political drivers and relevant guidance such as NICE
