You will generate a narrative using appropriate digital design tools demonstrating your ability to apply principles of good design in animation and rich media for communication on the web; have a deeper understanding of users and user needs; plan for product or programme promotion; engage in the peer review process and understand and apply proper terminology. (33%) [LO's 1,2 and 3]

Working with an assigned team you will generate an enhanced animated, rich media client based website using appropriate digital design tools demonstrating your ability to apply principles of good design in creating usable, effective websites; effective team collaboration; design for a client; use professional design processes; engage in the peer review process and understand and apply proper terminology. (34%) [LO's 1,2 and 3]
Module Indicative Content
This module is designed to introduce you to the theories and terminology of digital interactive multimedia, focusing on movement and interaction; animation, video and audio. You will also develop your knowledge and use of: "Soft" skills such as interviewing and responding to feedback; Communication with clients, using design documents or specifications; Design and redesign according to client specifications; Technical multimedia skills such as film effects and transitions; Design solutions, including effective navigation systems and digital narratives
Module Resources
Access to studio space and lecture/seminar room with blackout and digital presentation hardware.
Access to digital storage. Computer workshop facilities and appropriate software.

The Blackboard virtual learning environment will be available (where relevant) to support this module. Details will be supplied in the module handbook.
Module Learning Strategies

2. Read the assigned chapters in the text or view the assigned software instructional movies.
