Module Details
Module Indicative Content
This module asks you to fulfil briefs using your choice of media: photography, animation, film, graphics, games and interaction etc (in consultation with your award tutor). The chosen media should reflect skills you have acquired and are currently learning in blocks 1 and 2 of your award. On the module other students will use other media to fulfil the same briefs: you will be asked to assess and compare the strengths of other solutions and other media.
The module will emphasise communication with your potential clients and audience at all stages of idea development and production. This will mean good research into the issues, an ability to communicate ideas that work in your medium, and clear, exact and timely production planning and visuals.
Module Additional Assessment Details
You will capture and analyse existing [potential] solutions, and related and relevant texts and designs.20% [Research, analysis, visual analysis, problem solving].
You will research and document meetings with potential users/audiences to gain their view of your research, analysis and personal ideas. 25% [Communication, research].
You will create a detailed production plan, which explains your solution to the brief, gives visual indications of the content, treatment and design of your final artefact, and lists (where relevant) the required props, personnel, locations and kit and deadlines. 25% [Problem solving, Communication, communication, Analysis, Application]
You will complete your artefact, taking on feedback you receive; and submit the final piece in suitable format. 30% [Problem solving, Analysis, Visual Analysis, Application]
