Some modules will have will have more than one modulette assigned to it and this information will also be held by the Faculty Office.
Module Learning Strategies
The module asks you to create completed artefacts - individually and in teams. The learning activity centres on analyzing and developing and refining the design solutions outlined in you proposals and specifications, and resolving them into completed artefacts through the application of all the award learning outcomes.

1/ Attending events and exhibitions covering;
2/ Participation in regular interim group critiques and tutorials to evaluate, and refine work-in-progress, knowledge and background development as presented by yourself and other students

Module Additional Assessment Details
100% coursework
including a number of negotiated and aggregated components encompassing [Learning Outcomes 1-7]

Assessment activity:
1. The production of a substantial body of work in interactive cross-media design -- represented by one or two completed projects, and may include contributions to colleagues' final projects. The emphasis in this assessment is towards a least one `realised? project, with a completed, resolved artefact / prototype / project. The design work produced should be near professional standard and illustrate the competent use of appropriate skills and/or techniques.

2. A work journal including
+ rough work, experiments and prototypes
+ commentary on your original proposals, technical and market reviews from semester 5
+ user-testing analysis

3. A professional presentation of your work

The assessment panel will comprise of at least two tutors which will include the respective award/subject leaders, your project supervisor (if not the award leader) . This will normally last 30 minutes including the student?s presentation of their project[s] and any questions.

The panel will consider the production and presentation of your work as detailed in the documentation supplied by you in support of your individual negotiated Programme of Study. A single assessment grade will result, the panel having taken an holistic view of your achievements.

Module Indicative Content
In this module you will be expected to complete 1 or 2 substantive projects based on the programme documentation you developed in. The preparatory module AM50081-3 or AM50014-3 and material and understanding developed in other modules in semester 5, you will monitor, review and evaluate progress towards the production and completion of your programme's declared and definitive outcomes. Your programme will result in a substantial body of work representing a minimum of 450 hours of input and involving one or two significant projects/briefs.

You will be encouraged to work in teams, and your contributions to other students projects can form a significant part of your final submission.

Your final programme must be approved following discussions between yourself and your supervising tutor(s)

You will work on:
+ negotiation with staff, colleagues and outside content providers and other resources to develop a final schedule programme of work.
+ expansion of themes, features and fine-detail to "put flesh" on your design proposals
+ f ocused management of your projects to bring them in on schedule and on specification. + innovative and pro-active solutions, and energetic and rational responses, to the inevitable hurdles and negative feedback that accompanies xmedia production
+ investigation of user needs and responses through prototypes and feedback.
+ participation in a National design competition if appropriate

You should attend events and exhibitions covering;
+ project management and production
+ market and cultural developments in xmedia
+ legal and professional issues
